Making "Neon"

Needless to say, it was during these tests that we ended up with the following shot:

When we all crowded around the camera to look at the results we could not stop laughing at this one. I knew we had to use it somehow. I toyed with the idea that this picture would just be our cover, but eventually we decided to go on with the 2013 shoot as planned.

Stupidly, I forgot to shoot some test shots with no one in the frame to use for masking purposes, so I wasn't able to extract the best parts of any of the photos for use in any other compositions. In other words, the couch and drapes are there to stay.
